Defense Spending

Uncle Sam's discretionary spending, especially for defense spending, is creating a devastating financial "domino-effect" on taxpayers everywhere. The bottom line is that you must fasten your seat belt for a rocky ride!

Despite all the excuses Uncle Sam's financial gurus have presented, the simple truth is this: The cost of military-related operations is not only increasing the U.S. budget to unsustainable levels, but is also choking out many other components of the federal budget. In fact, the proposed 2009 discretionary spending amount for defense was a mind-boggling 58% of the entire U.S. budget and the 2010 proposed discretionary amount for defense was even higher:

In turn, financial pressure is put on state governments, then on local governments, and then on guess who? The buck stops on your door-step. Whether budget short-falls have to be covered to keep the schools running, repair the roads and bridges, provide police and fire protection, and/or continue a host of government services; you are the ultimate source of funding. As a result, your real estate taxes will go up while the value of your home goes down, your living expenses will go up while the value of your dollars go down, and your debt will go up while your net worth goes down.

Rest assured that government administrators and departments everywhere are deep in thought about how to extract more dollars from you using every imaginable tactic or scheme.

After all, you have to understand that your time, money, energy, and effort are not worth nearly as much as that of our "government leaders".

That's why they have assigned parking places (for free) and you don't.
